1. Be the CEO

Realize that you are the CEO of your own business and start acting like it. How many business owners would get up in the morning and say “I really don’t feel like working today” or  “maybe I’ll work this afternoon.” Their business is open each morning and stays open. Is yours?  Do you have set hours that you are “open for business”. Or is your business more of a hobby where you work at it when you feel like it?

2. Plan your work

Do you sit down and plan your work so you know  exactly what you are going to do with your hours? How many hours do you put into your business each day? Do you have short term, mid term and long term goals with specific steps in place to achieve  those goals?  In other words, do you have a marketing plan in place? Have a plan, work that plan and put the hours in. Do not just work when you feel like it.

3. Know your target market

Decide who your target market is. Do you know what they are looking for? Make an effort to find out what their challenges are.  When you are clear about that offer them a solution to their problems. For example, if they are having  a problem finding people to talk to about their business, you can offer them a quality leads program where they can learn how to find leads for their business. You could even show them how to convert those leads into sales. If you don’t know how to do that, it is something easily learned.

4. Let them buy you first

Do not try to sell your prospect right up front. They will not buy from you if they feel “pushed” to buy something. Create value first for what you have. Show them the value or benefit of what your product or service can do for them. Let them decide to buy or join because you have given them compelling reasons to do so. Let them buy you first. Make an effort to connect with them and build some rapport so they come to trust you and what you have to say.

5. Address the pain

The easiest way to connect with people is to address their pain in a sincere manner. They want something and are actively looking for it. Take the time to find out what that is and then show them how they can get it. Is it more leads for their business? Is it a quality health product to help them with a health challenge they or someone they care for is having? Or do they just want to make more money through a profitable online business?  Once you know what it is, show them how they can get what’s most important to them and  you just may have yourself a new business partner.

Attraction marketing, what is it? Do You want to be Wanted? Please say yes. That is why it is called “attraction marketing“. I think that basically, we all do. It’s human nature.

So, why then,  when we first begin network marketing, do we start chasing people. Now I am not judging you, but I know that you have done it. You know how that I know you have done it?  Because I did it too. That’s right, when I first got on the internet I was 100%  monkey see, monkey do. I did not know any other way.

Why? Why do we chase people? Why are all these “so called” marketers out there chasing people. Because we are desperate. We want business, We want success. We want money. And we want it fast. Right here right now.But there is a much better way.

Attraction marketing is all about your audience finding you, finding out what your interest are and searching for someone like you to relate to. Not about you finding them.

This is not as hard to do as you might think. You see, I think a lot of people think attraction marketing is about building relationships with people. People that we are searching out to become friends with, so we can get them to join our opportunity.

But I think it is more about just being ourselves and focusing on “our interest“. As selfish as that may sound, if taken in the context that I am meaning, it is not. You see, if we focus on what we want, what our interest are, we are being real. We are being ourselves.

Lesson Learned the Hard Way

 

I had actually decided to quit network marketing, I was getting no where and if no where was where I wanted to get, I would have been pretty successful in getting there fast.

After I had backed off awhile, something strange happened. People started  seeking me out. You see, inadvertently they must have figured that I was successful enough that I didn’t need to chase them around, and that made them curious.

That made them seek me out wanting what they thought that i had. That made them want to find out what I was doing  so that I could show them how. Let me tell you something, its nice to be wanted.

That is actually why i am here. Someone had asked me to help them and I did. And then someone else, and then someone else. Finally, someone said how about we start a team and we all help the whole team. Then we will all be successful.

By sharing our talents and skills and focusing just on what we are good at and using the skills of our team mates for the things we do not know how to do, we all grow together.

What am I saying? You mean swallow the ego? You mean that we should admit that we don’t know it all and learn and teach others. Learn and earn together? Help each other?  What the Heck? What a concept……………….
